AS LEVEL PACKS A PUNCH

Javea based Club Deportivo Washinkai Karate are now offering a full Physical Education AS Level and A level course strongly based in the twin martial arts of Judo and Karate.

The practical studies will also cover one racket sport and one team sport whilst the theory includes planning, analysis, measurement and evaluation of training programs and a comprehensive review of the effects of exercise upon physiology.

The history of sport and the Olympics will be taught and students should complete the course with a recognised First Aid Certificate.

The course has been co-written by Tim Lakin of Xabia International College and karate instructor, Ray Sweeney 3rd Dan and aims to take each student to at least Green Belt level in both Judo and Karate as well as gaining an AS Level in Physical Education.

The course has been designed to be studied over 18 months and students are now being enrolled to start in September.
